When does the warranty coverage begin?

Upsie coverage starts on day one and overlaps with the manufacturer's warranty. We will cover repairs or replacements the manufacturer denies that are within our warranty terms during that time. When the manufacturer warranty expires, Upsie’s full coverage begins. You must wait 31 days after warranty purchase to make a claim on any Upsie electronic warranty unless you purchased your new device and warranty on the same day. In this case, you can make a claim at any time.


For smartphone subscriptions: New phones purchased within the last 30 days do not have a waiting period if you provide a receipt. For all other phones, there is a 90-day waiting period after purchasing your plan.

Is there a limit to the number of claims I can file?

On most devices, we will cover an unlimited number of claims up to the purchase value of the device. For example, if you have an electronic with a purchase value of $999.99, and we send out a repair technician with a total bill of $249.99, then you would have $750.00 remaining in claims.


For smartphone subscriptions, you can file two claims per rolling 12-month period.

How do my devices get repaired?

Get repaired your way with a variety of repair options:


1. Local & In-Home Repair

Work with one of our certified repair shops near you or request to take your electronics to your shop of choice.


2. Ship It In

Free round-trip 2-day shipping to our certified repair center where we will have your device fixed.


Repair time assumes parts are in stock.


3. Replacement

If the cost of your first repair is not feasible we will replace your device.


For any additional claims, if the device can not be repaired we will send you a check for the remaining value of your warranty.


The device must be sent in for diagnostic testing before being issued a replacement. Replacement is at the discretion of the claims department and may require additional diagnostics.

Can I buy a warranty on a used/refurbished electronic device?

Yes, you can purchase a warranty on most used/refurbished electronic devices as long as they come with at least a 30-day seller or manufacturer warranty and were purchased within the last 60 days (120 days for smartphones). 


We are currently only able to protect new televisions, fitness equipment, and outdoor tools and electronics.
